Keep On Dreaming; Don’t Give Up!

Ever since my book, Created to Relate: Living Beyond Religion, was published, I have dreamed about getting it on the shelves of the local Christian bookstore.

It has been a challenging journey, but something in me wouldn’t let me let it go.

I believe that was God telling me to keep trying, to keep doing what I could do, and He would do what only He can do.

Last week I was feeling discouraged, and it was all feeling impossible. I reached out to the Lord and began asking if I should be doing something else or if there was something I was missing in it all.

That was like Thursday or so. On Sunday I found out my books had been ordered and would be coming in soon.

God hears our cries, and He answers.

I knew the Holy Spirit was leading me to not give up.

I have been learning what it means to seek God first and not just in one moment but to live seeking Him first.

This requires us to lay down our thoughts, our ways, our dreams to Him. To stop striving, trying to fix or make happen, and to truly surrender all to the One who holds it all in His hands and has a good plan, even if it doesn’t feel that good in the moment.

Do you have dreams in your heart?

Do you feel as though your flesh wants to give up, but the Holy Spirit is asking you to hold on and trust?

I want to encourage you to hold on to those dreams, placing them at the Lord’s feet in full surrender, seeking Him first, because when we seek Him first with our whole heart, all these things will be added unto us.

What are some of your dreams?

I would love to be praying with you for them.

Thank you for sharing in the rejoicing over mine coming true today.
