When I began reading this book, I was deeply moved by how clearly this author shares my heart for people to truly know Jesus. Not the version shaped by legalism or religion, but the real Jesus we encounter in Scripture.

I felt seen in her words. It was as if she understood what it’s like to feel stuck in that place and have the deep desire to move beyond it.

In this book, she gently walks us through the roadblocks that can keep our relationship with Jesus feeling complicated. These aren’t just struggles she (or even I) have faced; she also draws from conversations with over 1,000 people who have shared their own challenges and barriers.

We are not alone in this journey, friends.

She invites us to explore how God uniquely created each of us, helping us better understand our personalities and the way we relate to Him. Throughout the book, there are thoughtful questions that encourage reflection, along with space to process and write.

More than just insight, she offers a practical path forward, real, tangible ways to begin living this out and to move toward a faith that is no longer complicated but deeply personal, freeing, and rooted in relationship.

I highly recommend this book! It goes so well with my book, Created to Relate: Living Beyond Religion, as well, so I encourage you to buy them both together. May we continue to grow deeper and more rooted in Jesus. I am thankful for tools like this that help us do that.
