You Are Worth Fighting For

The other day I was driving down the road with my radio turned to K-love. A song came on and today was one of those days I was able to understand most of the words.

It was a song called, “Egypt” by Corey Asbury.

The chorus came on and these words just hit the core of me, “You’re the God who fights for me, Lord of every victory. Hallelujah Hallelujah. You have torn apart the sea, You have led me through the deep, Hallelujah Hallelujah.”

I quickly added this to my playlist and began listening to it around the house. God had been bringing me to the scriptures about Him being with us and for us, and fighting for us.

There is one lie from the enemy that has followed me around for years and that is the lie that I am not worth fighting for. It has been a lie used in my depression battle and in life in general.

My guess is I am not the only one who has fought off that lie or battled with it.

As I walked around the house, God began really emphasizing the truth that I am worth fighting for, He wants me to believe that He believes I am worth fighting for, and it is why He sent Jesus in the first place.

Over this life, I have watched people give up on themselves in one form or another. They don’t believe they are worth fighting for, so they don’t fight for themselves. They don’t allow God to fight for them.

This is something God wants me to share with you, and with others.

You ARE worth fighting for, You ARE worth the work and You CAN have the victory in Jesus!

Your life does matter!

There is no one else like you on this earth and God has a special plan and purpose for who He has created you to be.

The enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy.

Satan wants you to believe you are not loved or worth fighting for and He wants you defeated. He doesn’t want you to be who God has created you to be and He wants to see you depressed, anxious, and defeated.

That is NOT the truth!

I pray today that if anyone is seeing this who feels that way will reach out. Let us pray for you and speak the truth to you. I pray the lies that have infiltrated your mind and heart will be torn out and replaced with this truth.

As I listened to this song, I realized that had finally happened in my mind and heart. The lies that had been whispered to me over and over again were suddenly gone and as I listened to those words flow out of the singer’s mouth, I realized I finally believed them.

I sat and wept. I have been stuck in a place where I wanted to break through but God had to help me. So many times, I told God, I wanted to believe but I needed Him to help me in my unbelief.

I don’t understand the process sometimes. I don’t always understand what He is doing and how He is doing it. Sometimes I am stuck in what feels like spiritual quicksand or something because the breakthrough seems so hard to get. Then years later, all of a sudden it seems as though it happens so quickly and quietly.

It reminds me of my hearing loss. Losing my hearing was very subtle. The loss was happening but you didn’t even know it. Until one day you go in for a hearing test and a whole lot more is gone.

It seems that way when we start going in the wrong direction, but it also seems to be that way as we walk slowly in the right direction. Slowly but surely God is bringing pain and roots to light, He is working in and through you, to bring you to the victory and freedom He has promised.

It doesn’t always happen quickly or in a very obvious way.

As God frees us and brings the victory, we get to go tell others, and give them some hope as they are trudging through the trenches.

That is what I am here to do today! This is the message God is giving me to share.

Your life matters and you ARE worth fighting for, and God is fighting for you. Will you look to Him, seek Him, follow Him and allow Him to lead you out of your Egypt into the Promised Land.

You don’t have to stay in the wilderness. It may not be overnight. You may have to do some walking and you will have to let Him show you where those roots are and it will be painful but I can promise you that the work is worth it because You ARE worth it!

I am praying that God speaks to your heart, that He will help you believe that you ARE worth fighting for and He is at your side ready to battle through with you.

If there is any way we can come alongside you and pray with you, please share a prayer request or send a message. We would love to walk with you through to your victory.

Thank YOU Lord, for loving us and showing us that we are worth fighting for because we are created in You, for the plans and purposes You have for us. Thank you for fighting for us, and for bearing with us on this journey. Thank You for never giving up on us and giving us healing and victory in You. We praise You now and forever! In Jesus’ Name!

They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the LORD, to deliver you.” Jeremiah 1:19
